The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) scrutinizes its procedures and activities periodically to ensure that quality is maintained. In line with this tradition, this study sought to investigate the WAEC Depot-Keeping exercise in order to highlight its setbacks. The study employed the cross-sectional design.
The study, which stemmed from an earlier one (RD/1/2004) on Test Development Divisions (TDD) of WAEC, identified and evaluated some of the pre-examination procedures at the Test Administration Division (TAD) of the Nigeria National Office of WAEC.
This study examined the cognitive levels of multiple choice items in selected WASSCE papers in Nigeria. The survey design with cross-sectional procedure was used. Stratified and purposive sampling techniques were employed. For the study, the 2007 WASSCE question papers in ten subjects were purposively selected.
