Registrar’s New Year (2011) Message To All Staff PDF Print E-mail

Dear Colleagues,

It is the beginning of another year and time again for me to send warm greetings, felicitations and hearty congratulations to you all on the successful completion of the business of the Council for the immediate past year. We surely owe God a world of gratitude for seeing us through 2010. May He accept our thanks.

Colleagues all, there is no doubt that the year 2010 was a mixed bag of successes and challenges.

The Council’s examinations - national and international - were conducted successfully in all the Member Countries. Candidates’ results were released ahead of schedule in all the offices. Significant progress was recorded in the clearing of the backlog of certificates in Accra, Freetown and Banjul Offices. The deployment of ICT to service delivery received a boost as the Freetown, Banjul and Monrovia Offices introduced both electronic registration of candidates for the Council’s examinations and on-line result checker facility. The 5-Year Strategic Plan for the Council was finalized. Staff welfare enjoyed the pride of place in the scheme of things in all the offices. All offices embarked on the recruitment of new officers and acquisition of necessary equipment. In all, it was indeed a good year. And, I want to use this opportunity to register once again, my sincere appreciation to all of you for the much that we were able to achieve in 2010.

There is, however, a lot of room for improvement. And, we must resolve to exceed the achievements of 2010 in 2011. We must be unrelenting in our commitment to excellence in our service delivery. We must take the fight against examination malpractice to the doorsteps of the perpetrators of the evil that it is. We must guard jealously, the image of our flagship organization and refrain from any act that can bring it to disrepute.  It is only by doing these and more that we can truly manifest our commitment to the accomplishment of the Council’s Vision and Mission.

The year 2011 is not just a new year; it is the beginning of a new decade. As we commence our journey through the New Year and New Decade, I commend us into the unfailing hands of God. May His grace be more than sufficient to see us through another year and decade of successful execution of the business of the Council.
